For more than 75 years, the Curbelo family has followed the traditions, culture, and mentality of hard work and loyalty to their customers. This business model was based off of their patriarch, Don Alfredo Curbelo, who in 1944 founded his first food distribution business in the city of Cienfuegos, Cuba.

In the beginning Don Alfredo focused on distributing a salt product around the country under the brand name ”Sal Perla del Sur”. This was a product native to the region that was favored for it’s geographical location near the sea in the south of the island of Cuba.

With the passage of time the family business began expanding the product line and introduced rice, beans, wheat flours, and sugar into their inventory.

Today, Arkoss Group Corp., founded in Miami, Florida by Richard Curbelo, grandson of  Don Alfredo, continues to offer high-quality product lines in the Hispanic market, working and helping to strengthen young companies in the food industry.
